I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
@doodlebug- if you look at how much reading we are going to be doing between theory and clinical, i think we will cover most if not the entire Kozier book, some weeks we need to read one or two chapters, other weeks we need to read 5 or more, and i know we have a lot of reading in the Nursing skills book also, even though it's not in the skills CID.. or if it is, i can't find it lol.
@rossy & cross- that sucks! i think they should just turn them in as they come. They said they were pretty busy today so in the event that they do end up waiting, maybe everyone will get theres done before friday..when i got there around 1, there were atleast 16 people from the program there, but i didnt have to wait long.
I'm about to finish the first chapter of reading. I started to jot things down in my planner, and it's coming along so well! everything is color coded! lol.
Another student just shared an email with me from Mr. Ume where he says that we won't get an email if the results are negative, and that registration will be... Umm let me paste it :). When he says the end of the following week... That's the 13!!! I hope not.
"If it is negative, you will not get any email. You may be able to start to register at the end of the following week".
I just spoke with Dana and she said that we would be able to register by Tuesday at the latest. She said that they don't petition individually because it takes too long so they have to wait on all of the results to come in. If everyone is done today, it could be Friday; tomorrow - Monday and so on. This is getting really stressful on the money side.
Well that's sort of ridiculous... but in a way I understand where they are coming from. They would have to go in and petition us individually and that would take probably Just as long as waiting.
Hey guys, it seems frustrating but that is exactly how they had it done last application period. Don't freak out if some of you actually gets the petition before others. Last year, they waited until all the drug tests results were in and then they entered the petition individually, I recall some where able to register before others. but it was only a difference of hours.
@cross- mine has my name on it and a little heart. LolLoly- thanks, I figured something like this would happen. Congrats on finishing your first semester and goodluck on the next!!
Okay I wanted to put a star so now I don't feel bad! LOL I also want it to say "My Name, SN", think they'd mind that??

Thanks. Good Luck on yours. Don't hesitate to ask for help, from anyone. First semester is hard but very gratifying.

This is just a curious question and probably a stupid one, but do you think some of these books will last us the whole program. Like the Fundamentals and Nursing Skills etc... It's hard to believe that we would go thru these whole books in one semester
