I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
I'm with y'all! No painting just trying to finish these 4 classes then enjoying that month off. Maybe doing double-time at the gym and reading a few books, since I literally haven't had time to do ANY extracurricular reading this semester.
It's snowing here this morning; while I love it, I do not look forward to another winter like we had last year and missing an entire week of school. Really hoping that doesn't happen again!
I love the snow! but after That week we had earlier this year, I was worried I wouldn't be able to fit in to my jeans anymore LOL!
I know its going to.snow again, I hope it doesn't because its going to interfere with class but in a way I wish it would cause its so beautiful!
are any of you guys going to buy a sphyg? ( BP cuff) the people from TNSA said they took it to the first week or two of clinicals...so I'm on the rebound on getting one..
Hopefulmendor, we have the same schedule!! Great meeting all of you today. Mcj20, did you make it in this morning?
I did make it, I guess I ended up with a random person from allnurses, because she was the only one I met.
I have hybrid theory and Mansfield Methodist for clinical and skills on Thursdays from 1:30 - 4:30
Hope to see ya'll around sometime :)
MCJ- we were all spread out in the back row so I'm sure if you talked to anyone else it was probably one of us lol.
I guess the next time we see each other will.either be at CPR or in class? we will have to make sure to.get together as the semester progresses to catch up! So far the only person I have classes with is fortworthgirl. I'm still hanging solo in clinicals haha...
I really don't want to buy a sphyg if I don't have to especially if we don't really use it.
I just got out of a meeting with my boss to talk about my sch once school starts. I normally work 8-5 m-f and they totally worked with me on my sch. I'm going to part time and told them what hours I could work, which most of them are outside of my normal schedule and they said "cool, that will work" I feel so relieved. How many jobs will let you pick your own crazy schedule?? I guess being there 6.5 years paid off.

I went through my skills kit. So many cool gadgets! Lol. A lot of the stuff from the skills kit, I already have in my trauma first aid kit, but it's still pretty neat.
And I also looked at the C.I.D. that one of the professors posted on Cartella, it covers all sorts of information. Im glad I looked through it because maybe it will help me become more prepared for the class!
I know it's going to be a difficult first semester, but I can't help but feel ecstatic! Im going to try to order some of my textbooks this week or next week then start reading, i have a ton of things to do this week, so the sooner I get it done the sooner I can start focusing on school things.
I just painted 4 rooms in my house in less than two days and my arms are killing me!!
