Hello,
I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
Me too, Loly. I need to figure out how to work my work and family life around nursing school. Luckily both of my kiddos are in school, but I do have a full time job. Has anyone gone to cartella and looked at the CIDs from last semester. I have, just to see what it's going to be like. I'm really excited about Skills Lab.
Ab- I have one in school and a three year old. Three year old will likely have to go to pre-school or daycare and I think it is cutting close. I will go to cartella and look. That should give us an idea of the load of work to be expected. I was out of town all last week and I need to go by the so campus to pick up my name tags.
For those of you who are close to the South campus, be sure to let us know when schedules are posted! I called this morning and spoke to a very friendly person who said she didn't know what day they would be posted, but it would be some time this week. YAY!! I am hoping to also maintain full time employment while in NS (yes, I realize how crazy that sounds... but the bills won't pay themselves!), but I am very fortunate that my work is pretty flexible so it shouldn't be too hard.
Congrats to all of you who got in for fall, i know how exciting this time is. especially to the dreamer and loly82 as I know you both have stayed the course to realizing your dreams.
Hey!! :) How are you liking the program now that you are done with your first semester? Is it everything you imagined it would be? Any pointers for those of us just starting on our journey? And was there any helpful information provided at Orientation that we might need to look into now, seeing as our Orienation is only a week before school starts this time around?
Sorry to bombard you with questions, lol.
Yes, I wasn't very concerned with working full time, until I saw that we should spend 6-9 hours a week in skills lab before our scheduled skills time. That is one I will have to figure out, seeing that the lab isn't open in the evenings. I am sure I will work it out, and I am also fortunate to have a somewhat flexible work schedule.

Hopefully we will get to see our schedules this week. That will be so exciting.
