I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
I called, couldn't help myself. The lady who answered was hesitant to tell me anything. I asked if there was any concrete news this week. She said, No. Then I asked her "will they send anything out before Fall semester registration starts, she said, YES. (Fall registration starts in June, I think). When I told her that it was hard to remain positive, she said, "I know what you mean" Towards the end of the conversation she said, "I'm hoping to get them out this week" and when I asked why the delay, she still mentioned getting information on the campus. That is all folks. I couldn't keep this info to myself and drive myself crazy all week so I'm sharing it with you all, so you all can obsess with me yet another week. :)
Thanks for sharing Loly!! I was hoping to get them by the first of next week...... I really hope they come out before next Friday because we are going on on vacation June 3-11.....And I really don't want it sitting in my mailbox while I'm gone..... Hopefully she will have them out by the end of THIS week.....that would be great!! I may call on Thursday to check again, if we haven't received them yet!
Thanks Loly! I really hope they do get them out this week. maybe they will go out by Thursday, and we will all have something extra to celebrate this Memorial weekend. Good luck to everyone again, I really want to go to school with all my allnurses friends.
So I spoke to the nurse I work with and his mother in law didn't seem to know about the glitch. He did guarantee though per her that if summer classes had to be withdrawn tcc will refunt 100% considering it a special case. He told me she was going to call the dean of nursing today and see whats going on. :)
I spoke with someone who is friends with a member of Tcc's nursing board. She asked about the delay for me, and she said it is just all related to the move. That makes me feel better. I was worried about a "glitch" and the director position, and thinking things were a mess there. I guess it's just "growing" pains related to the move. She said please have patience because letters will be out soon. We will all have to celebrate when letters go out.
Just popping in to check on everyone. I hope you guys stayed safe during the storms last night. We didn't have any damage at my house, but neighborhoods all around us did. We were very lucky. That was probably one of the most intense weather-related nights we've had in a while. My heart breaks for the families in Oklahoma that got hit with the harder stuff.
Hopefully there was no major damage to the South Campus or the TR Campus that would further cause delays with our letters!

Am hoping for next week since they said after the first of June. Late next week would make me happy. I hope it won't be later than that.
