I didn't see a group created yet for people applying in Feb/March for the fall 2015 nursing program at TCC. Figured I would start one! I am sooo ready to apply, get accepted, and start! It cant come fast enough!
Are you completing all pre-requisites for associates and bachelors before it starts?
I'm in the same boat and agree with ^. I have a few friends in the program that were accepted with a 3.5 gpa and 93 or higher Hesi- this was also under the old terms. When you look at the new requirements the old "3.5" is now a 3.3. (2 Bs 1 A) and 3.6 is the new 3.75. I would just focus on doing the best you can on the Hesi. It seems like there are a lot of people with a 3.3 that will be applying and I've heard that they expanded class size to 175
I'm taking the Hesi at the end of this month and I'm super nervous, because the first time I took it was last semester and got an 80. I didn't study much though and thought the math would be a piece of cake, but it had been a long time since I'd done simple math problems so that messed me up. Other than that, I have all A's in my sciences...hoping that will really help my chances in getting in! Has anyone fully gotten their shots done? I just got the first doses of the Hep shots a few days ago.
Hey everybody, I'm a new member. This will be my first time applying, I have a 4.0 science GPA, took all my vaccines, and this is the first time I will be applying.
To those who have already taken the HESI, I have two questions. Is the HESI book from TCC the only book you used to study(is it enough)? Grammar is my weakest section, can you give me any advice about that part. Like what to def. study up on. Thanks in advance guys!
Also are any of you already working in the field as a CNA, PCT, Phlebotomist, MA or anything like that? Just wondering. I am currently taking the CNA program at TCC. I hope I have the time to work during nursing school.
Hello,
I am taking the HESI test on March 4th. I was wondering for those who already took the test, Are the practice tests on the Admission Assessment Exam Review similar to those on the real test? I've studied the material, but I don't feel like I'm prepared for this test. Is the exam hard?

I'm applying with two B's in AP I and II and an A in Micro. I'm taking the Hesi in March but I took it two years ago when i was looking into Nursing and scored a 94. I'm hoping these are all strong scores to get in. I'm core complete for my ADN and have completed all pre-reqs for a BSN. I'm ready for April 15th so we have our answers!
