Tarrant County College Fall 2015

Published

I didn't see a group created yet for people applying in Feb/March for the fall 2015 nursing program at TCC. Figured I would start one! I am sooo ready to apply, get accepted, and start! It cant come fast enough!

Are you completing all pre-requisites for associates and bachelors before it starts?

I thought they looked at the gpa of the pre-reqs which would also include psych and english..

They take your GPA for AP1, AP2 and Micro. Your overall score to get into the program is 50% GPA and 50% HESI.

Does anyone know if lacking a high school diploma/GED disqualifies you from applying? I have a meeting with Ms. Aultman Tuesday, but I am understandably concerned.

Applications are up on the site. They ask for a completion date for diploma or GED....so I think you do have to have one of them completed.....not sure though.

I would like to think that my GPA and HESI score could sufficiently vouch for my abilities, but rules are rules I suppose.

Hi:) I'm new to this thread. I'm applying for fall 2015. I have an A in a&p1, B in a&p 2 and B in micro with A's in the co requisites and almost all the BSN classes done except chem and statistics. Do they factor in the gpa of the co's at all?

Science GPA and HESI

So you don't get points or anything for co's or BSN classes completed ?

50% science GPA 50% HESI

Idk if I should even apply since I only have one A (a&p1) in the science gpa. With B's in a&p2 and micro.

Your GPA isn't the most competitive, but if you got x>90 on the HESI, I think you have a shot.

Ya I havnt taken it. I'm still studying for the hesis so maybe so :)

I would advise you to go to the TCC website and review the nursing presentation and read the enrollment packet.
