Tarrant County College Fall 2015

Published

I didn't see a group created yet for people applying in Feb/March for the fall 2015 nursing program at TCC. Figured I would start one! I am sooo ready to apply, get accepted, and start! It cant come fast enough!

Are you completing all pre-requisites for associates and bachelors before it starts?

The only sections tested for TCC are reading, grammar, vocabulary, and math. What made the TEAS so difficult? I plan on taking my TEAS next week at Navarro and have heard that it is harder than the HESI.

Hello,

looks like we're in the same boat. I will be retaking my hesi again as well. I need to bring my anatomy score up. Do you remember what's on there?! I know some people that's taken the test twice say its generally the same thing.

I took the anatomy portion for El Centro, but TCC doesn't require you to take it. What I remember from the anatomy section was all pretty basic things. I recall a few questions about heart valves and one about what a certain hormone did. MY advice is to read through the HESI study guide that TCC sells because the version I took was eerily similar.

The TEAS was harder because it covers SO much. Especially the science section. It literally has questions about every type of science from earth science to chemistry. It's really hard to prepare yourself for that amount of information. The rest of the sections might be similar to HESI but the math is also a bit more challenging because you can't use a calculator.

Can we use calculators for HESI? It wouldn't make sense, since it is just basic Math... :)

Yes!!!! We can and it is awesome!

Does anyone know what's covered on the Hesi?

Math, reading, grammar, and vocabulary

I used the study guide from the TCC bookstore and was more than prepared.

What did you make?

My gpa isn't quite there, but the advise told me someone got accepted with a C this past time! Soim hopeful, but I'm sure I'll have to try again for spring 2016

4.0 GPA and 96.5 HESI
