Tarrant County College Fall 2015

Published

I didn't see a group created yet for people applying in Feb/March for the fall 2015 nursing program at TCC. Figured I would start one! I am sooo ready to apply, get accepted, and start! It cant come fast enough!

Are you completing all pre-requisites for associates and bachelors before it starts?

Hello everyone!

This will be my first time applying to TCC. I am taking the HESI in a week and a half. Are each of the sections timed or is there just a total time limit?

Hey guys! I 'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one looking forward to be apart of TCC's Nursing program. I am currently a freshman at the southeast campus taking all of my basics so I can transfer to UTA after completing nursing school at TCC. I have all of my sciences, my second government, and both of my histories to go before I'm completely done with all of my basic courses for nursing school. If i calculated all of this correctly this means that i would be able to apply to nursing school in 2017? it seems like i will have to stay at TCC for a total of 3 years?

Actually, TCC only looks at your science prerequisites: Microbiology and A&P I and II so technically, you would only need to do those before you apply. However, they do recommend that you have a lot of your co-requisites (your basics) done beforehand. It should just be two years at TCC and two (or more) at UTA if you're in school full time and you're not having to retake anything or do developmental classes. You can also do summer classes too. TCC has an example schedule on their website.

Hello everybody! I just wanted to wish you all good luck! I started this semester. I got in for Spring 2015 with a 4.0 in my sciences and an 88 on my HESI. I do know people who got in with some Bs too.

Turned in my application today! 4.0 gpa and a 92 on the hesi :) I'm really hoping these scores will get me in. Good luck to everyone

Hey everybody, just took the HESI today! It was stressful but I felt prepared. I will be turning in my application with 4.0 GPA and a 91 HESI.

Everybody has such good scores! Good luck to us all!

I applied with A - AP1, A - AP2, B - Micro and an 88% on my HESI. I am not sure it's enough to get me in, but I sure do hope so!!! If not, I will apply again next semester:-) Good luck everyone!!

@kenzeypatterson I hope so!

Does anyone know if the picture that we have to send in with the application, does it have to be a passport style picture or any type?

@RN2B_2016

I don't think it has to be passport style. Mine was just a candid shot of my face lol the advisor said it was fine.

I think you will be fine!!
