So glad that my testing day is over with. The vocabulary was tricky. I did better in math than I expected to. Hope it's enough to make it in the program.

Congrats Chrisin and Hill!! Chrisin, I was told by the advisor that it is only taking them 3-4 weeks to process but, I am cautiously optimistic. They could always take until May but, I hope the advisor was correct in his statement. Hoping some of you hear the same when you drop your apps off. Has anyone else dropped them off and been told the same thing?

I took my HESI Friday as well. I agree that the vocab was tricky, and I am hearing the same from most people! It was my lowest score by far. I dropped off my app but did not get a time frame from the adviser as he was not the actual nursing adviser....now I am paranoid he will not pass on my application, lol!

Also, for those of you with a facebook account, there is a facebook page that was created by one of my former classmates. It is called TCC Nursing Group. It is a closed group but you just have to request to be added. It is a good place to go to for info, and there are a lot of current nursing students on it as well, if you have any questions etc...

Kate, the advisor who took my applications said that they are currently having all advisors accept the nursing applications, so I wouldn't worry!! But I know how you feel, I keep thinking of ridiculous things to worry about! For example, I filled out my app paperwork in January, but didn't turn in until Friday and I started thinking that I should have double checked that I didn't leave anything blank. So know I'm worried about that! I will check out that facebook page.

Haha, I totally understand Christin! Thanks for letting me know about all the advisers taking apps this time, that makes me feel a LOT better. I am sure you filled out your app just fine as well! Now that I have turned in my app it is so hard waiting...I guess it builds character....haha

Just turned in my application. The advisor told me that we should know our status by the end of March. That is great!! We won's have to wait until the beginning of May.

I am wondering - if we get in - when the mandatory orientation would be..? Has anyone heard? My family scheduled a Florida trip for a week in late July and sure hope it isn't during that time frame when I am scheduled to be gone! I don't mean to worry before I am already in but, heck, now that I have turned in my app need to add something else to worry about, right??!

On TCC's nursing site they have a "nursing information presentation" and in that it says that the orientation will be 1 to 2 weeks before classes begin. I'm not sure when nursing starts but normal fall classes usually begin the last week of August, so if nursing follows the same schedule then I think you should be ok. Maybe you can call nursing and see if they follow the same schedule as the rest of TCC?

Well, now the real wait begins. Hoping we hear sooner than later. Today closes the application period though so at least they can start reviewing!! Exciting!
