U.S.A. Texas

So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!

Good luck to everyone who applied!

Good luck everyone! I applied with 3.75 gpa and a 88 on my hesi :(. The vocabulary part killed me. I hope that enough to get in though!

Cam23, I also applied with a 3.75 gpa. The vocab was definitley the hardest part of the HESI! I made a 93 overall, but the vocab was my lowest score. The study guide didn't really prepare me for that, even though there was so much in that section of the study guide. Oh well, hopefully it was enough! Good luck to you, and everyone else!! Time is going by so slowly! I know it's way too early still, but I keep checking my campus cruiser email like 3 times a day! Lol!

I'm checking my email a lot too. Glad I'm not the only one!! :0)

Does anyone know how many people applied this time?

I have been checking too- even though I promised myself I wouldn't this week since it is spring break. I have no willpower! I wonder how many applied as well. Someone on the FB page said there was a stack of apps 1.5 feet high and they were coming in from other states! I am trying to keep busy with my kiddos and other productive tasks, but it is hard! Glad I am not the only one! Fingers crossed it will be next week sometime.

Well, I'm sure there were a lot of applicants but, these boards usually get a bit more activity by this point in the application process. Perhaps, this applicant pool just hasn't discovered all nurses but, I'm taking it as a good sign that the activity here has been less than what I have seen previously. I might just be an optimist though :0).

I always try to be optimistic too! I know, I don't understand why there aren't as many people on here this time around. The ones in the past had a ton of posts! Lets hope that is a good sign!! :) Or they could just be reading what everyone else is saying, like I was lol. I can't believe applications were coming in from other states! That's crazy!! Are their nursing programs just not good or what? I can't stop thinking about it! I know its spring break, but I can't help myself! lol... I read the thread for the Fall 2011 application period, and they didn't find out until June 1st!! I'm sure you all know that already, but I was shocked!! I know it must have been because they were moving to TRE campus, but still that must have been torture for those who applied then!! I hope we at least find out by the end of this month, that would be wonderful!! But the sooner the better! Try to enjoy your spring break everyone! :)

I agree with both of y'all. There is not as much action on our thread than the ones I stalked for the last few semesters :) Hopefully it is a good sign!

Hi everyone! I applied on 2/28, but now I have a question and the more I think about it, the more it's starting to stress me out. Ok, you know the top page the advisor fills out and turns in with your application packet (it's the one with the hesi scores and all the science grades)? My advisor did not fill in my math grade. Do any of you have that also? Just thought since there is a box for that grade, it should be filled in. IDK

Thanks!!

When I turned in my application I asked the advisor about that part and since I've already taken math 1314 she filled in that grade, and highlighted it on the nursing program degree audit that I turned in with the application also. I asked her about it because I didn't see my 0350 grade anywhere on the nursing program degree audit so I was confused, but she said since I have taken 1314 she would just highlight it to show them I have that grade... I don't know either, they require it to be completed to be able to enter the program so why wouldn't it be on the audit to show we have it completed? IDK...

My math was filled out as well, it says math 1324 and the grade. It was a transfer class from another university. I don't think it would hurt to call and ask about it Hope122. I bet it is fine, but it would probably put your mind at ease.

On another note, I am probably the only person I know that is "excited" spring break is over so they can get back to reviewing apps! :)
