I JUST WANT TO VENT (AGAIN)...I AM TAKING MY BOARD TOMORROW AT 7 AM...I'M VERY TERRIFIED AND SO UNSURE OF MY KNOWLEDGE. FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS I HAVE BEEN HAVING NIGHTMARES ABOUT IT....IS THIS A SIGN THAT MAYBE I SHOULD NOT TAKE THE BOARD AS OF YET?????? I HAVE BEEN STUDYING BUT I'M NOT REALLY DOING GOOD IN MY SCORES...MY CONFIDENCE LEVEL IS FALLING....I OFFICIALLY START WORKING (TELEMETRY UNIT) THIS SUNDAY. I KNOW A LOT OF YOU RECOMMEND NOT TO DO ANYMORE STUDYING THE DAY BEFORE BUT I JUST FEEL LIKE I NEED TO DO A LAST MINUTE CRAMMING.
I'M PRETTY MUCH COVERED WITH THE LAB VALUES, INFECTION CONTROL AND PREVENTION, THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION, AND SAFFETY AND COMFORT MEASURES...BUT I'M STILL STRUGGLING BIG TIME WITH PHYSIOLOGICAL ADAPTATION AND DEVELOPMENTAL GROWTH.......CAN YOU GUYS WHO HAVE TAKEN THE NCLEX GIVE SOME LAST MINUTE GUIDANCE ON WHAT TO FOCUS ON IN A MATTER OF ONE DAY STUDYING....OH ALSO, HOW WAS THE PHARMACOLOGY PRESENTED? i take my nclex tomorrow (7/15) at 2:00 - everyone wish me luck - and all those that are taking it tomorrow - we are smart, we are beautiful (handsome), and we know this stuff (a mantra that one of our instructors would say before an exam!)

olor=royalblue] it was over too soon - i walked in early and got started with the actual test at 1:45 - i was cruising along - questions were quite difficult - i felt - i looked down at the corner - 74 questions - i'm thinking - ok - you are prepared to do all 265 - did #75 and the danged computer shuts down! i wanted to jump up and down and say no - i'm not done!
i felt confident when i walked in - very serene - my husband even said that he had never seen me so at ease. i walked out and started crying. another girl that started 5 minutes before me walked out right behind me - we both said - "omg - what happened in there - are we stupid - did we forget everything we learned"
no herb questions, at least 10 "alternate format - check all that apply" questions - and 2 what patient would you give to a nurse floating from ob type of question. 2 medical calculations and 1 or 2 actual medication questions (side effects, blah blah blah). a few on end-stage renal failure.
the rest were pediatric and ob.
what happened to delegation, prioritization, etc.
man - well, it's over - and whatever happens happens!

OMG!!!OMG!!!! I've finally did it!!! But OMG again!!! My computer stopped at 192 and I strongly feel that I got the last question wrong and I was thinking that maybe the computer finally had it with me....Gave 192 chances and blew it all off!!! I swear everything that was presented to me were nowhere near what I've studied for. Bunch of prioritization stuff ( Like " You've (nurse) taken your shift assignment, of all the clients who would you see first...), I had maybe a couple of delegation, no med calculations but few side effect/therapeutic effects on few meds, I had about 4 select all that apply, lots of ESRD, Cystic fibrosis, COPD and this is all I could remember ( how I wish I remembered all so that if I fail, then at least I know what to expect next time)...Lots and lots of prioritizations. Of all 192 questions, 5 of them I know I nailed for sure....Most of the time I just guessed my answers. I don't really feel good about it. I feel like I've wasted 2 months studying. It starting to hit me and I think I'm gonna get sick. :stone
I just can't get to sleep thinking about my exam this morning. I've been trying to remember the questions but I swear I really can't remember a thing....I am very terrified and worried that I may have failed it. I know this has been answered so many times in this forum but I'd like to ask it again if I may...If you feel that you did not give the correct answer to the last question before the computer shut down, does this indicate that you have failed the exam?????? Coz I really think I did not get my last question right which of course I could'nt even remember what the question was....I'd like to believe that I pass but thinking back how I dealth with the questions (guessing to the best of my ability) makes me think twice and dwell more with possibly failing it. I'm sorry If all these is a repetition but I just want to vent and I don't have anyonle else to come for comfort but all you guys who knows where I'm coming from. I don't think I can wait any longer to find out my result....My heart is aching :smackingf

all my friends from school ranged from 75 to 265 and everyone passed good luck to you i know how it feels to wait i have been obsessed with my computer for the last 2 days. :rotfl:
how long from the time that the dang machine (computer) shut down until the time that you got your results at pearson vue?
can't take this waiting game much longer!

i took my test thursday and finished at 930. i found out this morning on the pearson website. had to pay 8$. then at about 400pm i received my license in the mail. can you believe that. its not on the bon yet, but i do have my license. good luck to you.
