so this is the thread to force me to keep on track for my exam and anyone else who is taking nclex in march around this time
study guide-saturday 3-3-12
plan on taking 150 questions from kaplan q bank today - saturday
plan on reviewing 3 subjects from hurst- renal- done, neuro, endocrine
then just reviewing random topics from kaplan book-
sunday
plan on taking test q4 from kaplan which i believe is 100 or 150 questions and if i get through that reading of 2 more hurst video handouts
test 3/21- i have to buckle down harder.
**i have done 450 kaplan q bank questions as of friday
3 kaplan q tests = 300 questions
kaplan pre diagostic test 180q, post test 180 q
by march 19th -sunday- i need to have finished a total of 1200 kaplan q bank questions and 4 more q exams inorder to be eligible for their refund policy and really be in good shape for the exam so i have a ways to go.
Just finished Kaplan Q6 200 questions score 65%
I am very, very please with this score
The only thing is that i thought I clicked suspend to take a break for 10 minutes and when I got back I realized that I hit 'End Exam' by mistake at 160 questions.
I called tech support and they told me that they couldn't do anything and I would have to start a new test. Ugghh! I had to start Q6 again from #1
Will spend the remainder of my day going over the rationale.
Good luck!! Keep us posted!!
Thanks so much and keep me in your prayers and others say a prayer for me. The exam is tomorrow and in a way I can't wait to take it just to get it over with.
I'm finishing up on Q7 today, it's 265qs and I was too burned out to take it all at one time so I sarted last night and suspended it.
Going to read the remaining 7 hurst content reviews today, finish Q7, review lab and the Allnurses 35 page study guide. Then if I have time review Q5 and 6 and just chill.
I really wait until in the am to review the decision tree and test taking stragegy video and then try to get there one hour early.
Gotta make a note to get blueberries, plums, make a sandwich, fruit welches gummie bears for snack/lunch tomorrow.
p.s I'm taking Q7 now from Kaplan and it feels like I'm bombing. I always come down to 2 questions that could both be right or some questions I really haven't a clue.
65% on Q6 is GREAT! Good Luck!!!!
Thanks. My only concern is that I don't do well in the first 50-75 questions- tend to do around 55-56%
It's only as i get pass 75 that I tend to get into the grove and do well. However, many times it's because I really don't want to do the qtests at all and for the last 2 tests I paused and continued later. So it could be because I was rested and closer to the end that my concentration improved, lol.
Going to review fluid and electrolytes and cardio. I don't think I will get to review oncology. Gotta wake up early to review all nurses 35 question guide...running out of time. ugghh!! have to make sure to look at pneumonics for infection tonight and labs in the am, pack my ati ticket, pack snacks etc.
