Just wondering who's taking the NCLEX in January and what you are doing to study? I graduated this week w/ my AAS in nursing and I'm trying to spend 2 hrs a day studying using ATI, Saunders and a couple other NCLEX books. I'd like to test at the end of Jan. Start my job on Jan 21st.
Introduce yourself! :)
I just got my temporary license in, but have yet to receive my ATT. I am signing up ASAP when it comes! I took the Hurst live review already, and now I am trying to memorize my book! Nothing else, no strict scheduling of how many hours a day...just lots of prayers and a workbook. Although, my motivation to study is ABSENT! :nuke:
I test Feb 1st, couldn't get a Jan test date. I hope I have positive restults like the others on the board. I am just having trouble motivating myself to study. This being home all day stuff was kind of fun for a week or 2, especially around the holidays, but now I am having trouble getting out of bed.
I have 2 weeks to go , so its time to buckle down. Wish me luck!
Thank God I'm not the only one!!! I liked having nothing to do for about the first week or so, and through Christmas it was nice...now it's just plain miserable! I am sooo tired all the time probably because all I do is sleep! Good Luck to you! I'm sure when I finally am able to test it will be in February as well! Study hard!!!
I am testing January 24th. I am really nervous about it. I have done 509 questions today on the Kaplan review course. I know 65 is the "number" to get. They say 65 and above is a sure thing to pass, but I am not comfortable with that grade. I got a 72 on the readiness test. It seems the more I study, the worse I do.
Does anyone have an example of a Kaplan question...compared to a Saunders question...a guy I graduated with took the nclex pn..and passed...he told me the questions were different than the questions in the Saunders review/cd...thats the book we were provided with in class...so I have been studying that book/cd..I have heard alot of postings about the kaplan review...and wanted an example of one of the questions????
