So edukan offers A&P II from Oct 15 or so till the end of December. I am currently taking A&P I through my local community college and everything in the class (according the syllabus) I learned last summer in taking human biology. Do you think it would be excruciatingly painful to take both A&P I and II at the same time? The courses both use the same book, and it doesn't seem as if the chapters really DEPEND on one another to learn the material.
What are your thoughts? A&P II would be online so that may help.

A&PI and II sorta depend on each other. What you learn in II builds on what you've learned in I, in my opinion. I wouldn't take them at the same time, because I had enough trouble/stuff to study just taking them separately. And both schools I've been at require that you take I before II. Good luck!

My perspective is slightly different, since I took diploma level A&P three years ago during my time in a technical school LVN program. I took A&P I and II with the accompanying labs at my local community college at the same time, both during spring semester 2007. I attended A&P I classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the A&P II classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are exceedingly disciplined and not taking a full load of classes, this feat can be accomplished successfully. In fact, I found that A&P II was significantly easier than A&P I.
That's what I was thinking. I've basically already TAKEN A&P I (in all but name) so I'm hoping I'll be ok.

Check and be sure that A&P II does not have the prerequisite of haven first had and passed A&P I. If not, and you can handle it...Go for it!!

Go ahead and bite the bullet! I just took A&P 1 with A&P 2 AND Micrbio in the Spring of 07. You just have to be disciplined enough to do it, but it is certainly possible, and you can get good grades too. I got B's out of each A&P, a C out of the Micro, and an A out of the fourth class I had. My A&P's were online, while the Micro was traditional. Lots of work, but do-able! Good luck.
