My girlfriend graduated from nursing school several years (16) ago. She told me the graduating nurses jumped into the school's swimming pool dressed in scrubs; during a "traditional" ceremony. I asked why? She said "it's a tradition"...![]()
This wasn't a religous school, so it wasn't a baptism.
Has anyone else ever heard of this? Can I get a better why answer?
Thanks
Well, since it has zero to do with nursing school traditions, it must be something someone got it in their head to do one year, and everyone else followed suit! And whalah, a "tradition" is born :)
Hope they were wearing white, considering the effect chlorine might have on navy blue....
I'm sure it's a tradition unique to that school. Many colleges have different traditions. I don't really get why this needs to be explained...
Heck, at the university where my best friend graduated, they have Senior Streaks every year a few days before graduation. The seniors run naked across the campus while EVERYBODY stands on the sidelines cheering them on. We're talking fellow students, professors, neighbors, etc. :uhoh21:
