2015 Jan-Feb 2015 is up. they said they will increase the number of residency this year.

grownuprosie,

I got a call from HR, and they scheduled me for an interview right away (the next day). After an initial HR interview, nurse recruiter emailed me within promised 2 weeks, and scheduled me for a panel interview.

I heard from other nurses that sometimes it takes HR few weeks to get back to you (no wonder, they are super busy!). If it has been more than 10 days, calling them to follow up will be okay, I think.

uptotheskies,

Thank you for your quick response and advice! They are trying to fill so many positions that it is not surprising that they have not gotten back to me yet. i will relax a bit now. Good luck everyone on your interviews! I look forward to hearing good news from you all.

Hi there, I went in for my second interview with manager who told me that I would be going to the 3rd interview (panel). That was a week ago and I haven't heard from recruiter/manager regarding scheduling. For those of you who are scheduled for the panel: Did the manager or recruiter contact you? Thanks!! Good luck uptotheskies and grownuprosie on your interviews! :)

I have my second interview scheduled for next week! It is kind of nerve wracking but also exiting! :D

lovedogs31 - The recruiter got back to me one week after my HR interview to schedule the peer interview. Scheduling the peer interviews takes a lot of planning and coordination, so I think it takes them a while to figure out a time and day that works best for everyone.

Did you guys get your peer interviews for your first choice position?

ED2012,

You are right, it takes a lot of time and effort for the team to set dates and times for interviews.

Mine just got rescheduled for next week instead of tomorrow :D

I actually got interview for my second choice - Surgical unit.

Did you get interview for your first choice?

Good luck to everyone with interviews!

Nope, I got my second choice too. They said they weren't hiring for my first choice this time around. But it's okay, I am in love with both of the units I chose. I'll be interviewing for mother/baby

We just all have to prepare ourselves, calm our nerves, and rock our interviews. xP

I did get my first choice. However, I think it was because I had a clinical there. How are you preparing for the panel? Pretty nervous over here!!

I am interviewing for my second choice too. my interview is Tuesday the 14th--- any one out there around 11?

lovedogs31, I am also nervous x.x

I'm just going to go over all the behavior based questions and pick out a couple of scenarios out of my experience that can be used to answer multiple questions. I might ask a friend to give me a mock interview too, just so that I don't feel so nervous and don't say something that doesn't make sense. I tend to ramble when I get nervous sometimes.

Walad, what department are you interviewing for?

Hi there, has anyone had their panel interview??

Good luck every one with the interviews.

Hello fellow nurses,

I also applied to new to acute care residency. I first got an email from the recruiter on Oct. 1st. I had the first HR in-person interview on Oct. 8th. It went well, I guess. My top 2 choices were short stay unit and orthopedic. I got a phone call from the recruiter yesterday (Oct. 13th) and was scheduled for the panel interview today for the short stay unit (Oct. 14th). There were 5~6 behavioral questions with 4 panels, and the interview took about 20 min. I had a chance to look around the unit at the end of the interview. I am so excited about this opportunity and good luck to everyone!
