That's good news. I applied, and noticed the residencies are all part-time. Does anyone know how long we will be part time, or if it will be full-time work eventually? I'm afraid to ask the recruiter I'm talking to because I don't want to hurt my chances.

As hard as new grad positions are to get around here, 5 of my classmates got hired at Swedish! it seems to be the easiest hospital to get into in the Denver area. However no one I know got in by applying online, they all walked in with their resume in person. They all got hired full time. Either ICU or MedSurg WILL hire new grads without having to wait for the residency program!!
Good luck!

Hey there! I am a new graduate nurse and am going to be applying for that cohort as well! I was wondering- did you send an email to get the information about the residency positions? And if you did, did you attach your resume to it as well? Swedish is a fantastic hospital!

How long til you guys got an e-mail from the recruiter?
I emailed a recruiter in July asking when the next one will open, and I always attach a resume when e-mailing recruiters. She e-mailed me on Friday that it's open now. You can just apply on their website. I'm concerned that it's part-time, that won't work for me.
I just applied on the website about 2 days ago, however, I'm curious if its alright to find a part time nursing job somewhere before starting the residency. Will I be disqualified?
I did my HR interview last Tuesday. they said the job is 0.9 FTE, Meaning it is 36 hours a week with every other week end. OB and women health Start January but every other departments start towards the end of February 2015. The recruiter said the work involves every other week end and night shift towards the end of the residency. she said a job is guaranteed on finishing the residency but may not be on the floor that you did the residency.
Did any one applied to the UW Medicine, Harborview or the Tacoma one?
Thanks walad, that's great news. I hope Swedish calls me! I also applied to UW, but haven't heard anything. What do you mean by Tacoma? I haven't seen openings with multi-care recently, so I haven't applied there. I haven't heard anything from Franciscan, so I stopped applying there, at least until I have a license (I take NCLEX next Monday, *fingers crossed for a passing score*!)
I just got an email today for the Jan-Feb cohort from a recruiter! They said that they will contact me for an interview if I am chosen to be part of it. Please send me good vibes and advice on the interview. Thanks!

I also applied! Have not heard anything yet, and my application status has not changed from "Application Received". Has anyone heard back from Swedish HR team yet?
