  1. I had my panel interview on October 8th, and to my great surprise got a job offer in 6 hrs (I was preparing myself for another 2 weeks of waiting), so waiting period varies from unit to unit. I'll be at the First Hill Campus, taking care of patients on General Surgical Unit :) Still waiting for emails and paperwork.
  2. ED2012, You are right, it takes a lot of time and effort for the team to set dates and times for interviews. Mine just got rescheduled for next week instead of tomorrow I actually got interview for my second choice - Surgical unit. Did you get interview for your first choice? Good luck to everyone with interviews!
  3. grownuprosie, I got a call from HR, and they scheduled me for an interview right away (the next day). After an initial HR interview, nurse recruiter emailed me within promised 2 weeks, and scheduled me for a panel interview. I heard from other nurses that sometimes it takes HR few weeks to get back to you (no wonder, they are super busy!). If it has been more than 10 days, calling them to follow up will be okay, I think.
  4. walad, Is is coming up soon - Wed, October 8th. When is your interview date?
  5. The date and time for my panel/peer interview is set. They start early in October (and early in the morning , mine is at 0715!) Does anyone else have any updates?
  6. The website lags a bit, and application status often stays unchanged. Positions are open, so perhaps, they are still reviewing applications and are conducting some HR interviews. I hope you guys will get a call from them soon!
  7. lovedogs31, Thank you! I didn't email HR person who interviewed me, instead, I've sent an actual thank you card (Perhaps, this was a mistake since I was told by someone else in HR to use main campus address and not the building address where I was interviewed. I hope my little note reached the right person in the end :) ). 2 days?! Wow! I was told that they will contact me within 2 weeks; it's been only 5 days, so I am not too panicky about not hearing from them. I was also told that the next step is panel interview with 6-8 people, and it will include staff nurses. I am not very good with the interview questions, praising myself is hard - I am used to letting my work results speak for me :) But I am training and working hard to learn how to answer behavioral questions well in case I do get called for a second interview. Anyways, when I am nervous, I get too wordy, and this is exactly what is happening with this reply. How do you feel about the upcoming interview? What are you doing to prepare?
  8. lovedogs31, First of all, CONGRATS!!! That's really great news! How soon did you hear from HR after your initial interview? I wouldn't be too worried about it because panel interviews are supposed to start in early-mid October, and HR might be still completing initial interviews. This is also my first "real" job interview, all of my previous interviews for CNA positions pretty much consisted of only 2 questions -"are you certified?" and "when can you start?" So I am also a bit nervous about Swedish and very excited!
  9. Which depts. did everyone else choose?
  10. I chose L&D and Med/Surg. They are very different, but I love both.
  11. lovedogs31, Yes! They will contact me within 2 weeks. I can't wait!
  12. flyawaynat, The interview went well. Very brief and straight to the point, it only took about 20 minutes. I met with only 1 person from HR personnel. No behavioral questions (they will follow in panel interview, which is the next step; those should begin in early or mid-October).
  13. And yes, they are still doing calls and interviews. I just got a call earlier today about my other application to Swedish Residency position. Good luck to everyone :)
  14. Hi! I was surprised to get an in-person meeting, they used to do HR interviews over the phone. The interview went well, very brief and straight to the point, it only took about 20 minutes. No behavioral questions (they will follow in panel interview, which is the next step; those should begin in early or mid-October). Questions I can remember were about: My top 2 choices of units and why I chose those specific units My nursing/CNA/Tech or any other healthcare-related experience, and how it fits units I chose. Why I chose nursing. Why I chose Swedish. What makes a nurse a good fit for Swedish and for units I chose. And of course "why we should chose you?" In overall, HR person was very polite and professional, gave me very thorough answers.
  15. Hi, flyawaynat Sorry for a late response! I got a call on Mon, Sept 15 and they scheduled me for an in-person interview with HR next day. My application status has not changed from "application received" either, so I was a bit surprised to get this call, I was even more surprised to get invitation to in-person because they usually do HR interviews over the phone. I got another call about my other application earlier today, so you can expect a call sometime soon! Good luck :)
