1) Go to current school to take Chem, Micro, Physio in the Spring, Summer, Fall and then apply for nursing program in the Spring of 2009?
OR
2) Try to ADD the courses at different colleges during the Winter, Spring, Summer in order to apply for the nursing program in the Fall of 2008?
The first option is easy because I can register for the classes earlier than most students, but takes a semester longer
The second option is much harder since I will lose my registration senority and trying to ADD these classes is really hard to do, but it gets the classes done quicker
What would you do?

I think i would go for the first option. Taking an extra semester may not be as bad as you think, JMHO.
i hope this helps and happy new year

Thank you will18 for the response
does anyone else have a vote on what they would do?

I also would opt for number one. All the time and effort spent "adding" would be better spent concentrating on getting A's in your courses. Taking prereqs is a difficult business, I wouldn't make it any harder on yourself.
Then when you add the risks of losing your current registration priority and possibly not getting these courses elsewhere, an extra semester really doesn't seem as bad.
Good luck on whatever path you choose!

I think I would go with your first choice. After you get through school and are working...I don't think you will even remember that it took you a couple of months longer. That way you save yourself all the trouble of trying to attend two schools at once, I know that would drive me crazy:eek:

If I were u, I would definetly choose the first option...even though it takes longer than the second choice, sounds great and easy to me...
Good luck with ur decision!

I had a similar situation when I was working on my prereqs. And I did the second option. I figured if I registered in three different colleges (all within resoanable distance of each other) I would have a higher chance of getting into the classes. If I could'nt get into micro in one campus I tried to add it in another campus. It was hectic, but where I was at, everyone and there brother wanted to get into nursing school so A&P, micro, chem and other prereq classes filled up quickly. I even remember trying to add one of these classes at one particular college. When I showed up that morning, I found out I wasnt the only one. There were more than 20 students standing in the rain trying to add the class by permission (instructor add). The instructor did a lottery, I did not get in. So, i drove to college number 2 and tried to add it. Where Im at its as hard to get into prereq classes half as hard as it is to get into nursing school. So, if you are guaranteed that option 1 will work out great as opposed to option 2 then go for it. Knowing my OCD self (hehe) I would go with option 2.
Good luck with your decison.
Hmmm 5 to 1 so far on staying at the current school
Are there any others who might weigh in on the subject?

I would go with the 2nd option. Its always been my way to try to get things done sooner.
