The BEST "thank you" I've received (in my current position) was a hand-written note from my NHA, praising a unique strength I bring to the team. Granted, I'm old-fashioned, but that simple note beat any monetary or other expression of gratitude hands down. So, I agree. Go for it!
Congrats to your entire team on your survey results!
So...I wrote thank you notes to each unit, the nurse managers and the other department heads. Everyone thanked me for the thank you. I'm keeping a supply of note cards in my desk and plan to write them to people who go above and beyond. I'm trying to reinstate the employee of the month program but until then, it's a personal thank you.
Your responses are appreciated.

We just finished annual DPH survey. I've been the DNS at this facility for less than 5 weeks. It's been a month of 13-16 hour days for me and the Administrator who has only been there since May.
We did well-just a few minor tags we think.
The team has started to form.
Here is my question- do you think it's too goofy to write thank you notes to the staff? I want them to know how much I appreciate all the hard work they've done.
