I was 24 when i got my lvn certification, got my first nursing job days after turning 25...it feels incredible and a little frightening to do this line of work but the desire to care for others is immense and the satisfaction i get from my job is impressionable.

I was 30 years old when I first applied for the RN program, but quit after the first semester. I decided to try one more time at age 33 and never looked back.

After many years of being told I wouldn't get through nursing school because I wasn't good at math or chemistry, or that I was too sensitive- I finally got the confidence to try, and proudly became a LPN at age 31. (the BEST day of my life thus far) I'm currently in RN school and will be 34 when I graduate. A big part of me wishes I started this process sooner, but what can you do...
