Has anyone else applied for Spring 2015? I sent in my application/transcripts about a month ago. I spoke to a guy in admissions yesterday, he told me in about 2 weeks letters will be going out saying to schedule interviews directly with the nursing department. After all the interviews, the nursing department will chose 50 students and acceptance letters would be going out around Dec. 1st. Does anyone know how many students typically apply to this program?

I received a letter today stating that I had been selected for an interview. The gentleman told you 50 students would be selected from the interview pool? I don't the quantity of students but by looking at this forum not much people post about Farmingdale.
I got a letter too, I sent the woman an email this morning to schedule the interview. Yes, 50 students from however many are interviewed. I've seen the same thing that there isn't much info regarding Farmingdale, I'm not sure why.

How well did all of you do on the TEAS exam? I'm taking it November 1st at Farmingdale.. That was the last chance to take it before they do the interviews
I took it back in July at NCC since I applied to both and scored 81.3
Adjusted Individual Total Score: 81.3%
ATI Academic Preparedness Level:Advanced
Mean - National: 64.3%
Mean - Program: 64.9%
Percentile Rank - National: 90
Percentile Rank - Program: 92
That's awesome, congrats! I hope you get an interview! Any tips for the TEAS?
Thank you! I scheduled my interview for next week. My few tips are make sure you have/get the ATI official TEAS review book, that's all I studied from and the format of the practice tests in the back are the exact same on the test. I also downloaded the app "TEAS V Exam Prep" on my phone/iPad for quick review, it wasn't exactly like the stuff I saw on the test but it was close. I found on my test, there were a lot of the math questions that I was able to solve by cross multiplying so I would definitely review that just in case. And lastly, eat before the test, if you're taking it in the morning. I unfortunately didn't and my stomach was growling halfway through and I felt like the people next to me could hear it lol
Thanks so much. I've been reviewing the ATI book and plan on taking the practice tests after reviewing a little more, but I haven't heard about that app so thanks for that! Good luck on your interview :)
No problem and thank you. Good luck on the TEAS!
How did your interview go?
I think it went well and I hope I gave the answers they were looking for. I had an interview with 2 women from the dept. I can't remember their names. The woman who I scheduled the interview with was running late so she wasn't there. I don't think any of us will find out till the thanksgiving/beginning of Dec about acceptances. How were the TEAS? Was yours on paper or computers?
That's good! I mean I'm sure at this point if you did well with the interview you have a pretty good shot. I think you're right about the acceptances because the last date to have your TEAS score submitted is today November 3rd. My TEAS was on a computer which I was not prepared for lol I did OK. I ended up with a 75.6% with the program average being a 70% so I'm happy I was above the average but I don't know if that is a good enough score to be considered competitive. I'll just have to wait and see.
