SUNY Farmingdale Spring 2015

Has anyone else applied for Spring 2015? I sent in my application/transcripts about a month ago. I spoke to a guy in admissions yesterday, he told me in about 2 weeks letters will be going out saying to schedule interviews directly with the nursing department. After all the interviews, the nursing department will chose 50 students and acceptance letters would be going out around Dec. 1st. Does anyone know how many students typically apply to this program?

I know of someone who interviewed last week. So they hadn't made any decisions by then. Ah I'm so nervous if they really are going out this week!

I don't know that.. But I did find out that they are admitting 50 people. It used to be 25 but now they are having 2 groups of 25 in the program.

That's good to hear that they made the program larger. I read an article how nurses are high in demand, yet it's ridiculous how small the classes are for each school

Yea it's really just so competitive and I feel like that's still small for a state school. I'm sure a lot of people applied

150 were interviewed...they say about 650-700 applied. Does anyone know how we hear if we got accepted? I heard phone call but I feel that's awkward to get a phone call especially if you didn't get in. I know I got the news I got an interview by mail. The suspense of waiting is killing me!!

Wow that's still 100 people that don't end up getting in. I assumed by mail that we were notified because like you said I was also told about the interview through mail

I know it's a big cut! And I just got my mail and nothing yet :(

150 interviews! That just made me feel like my chances just got very slim. That would be really awkward if it was a denial phone call.

Yea maybe I'll let all my calls go to voicemail for now... Haha well I hope all of us get in!

Sorry didn't mean to make anyone nervous!! Haha. Just think they weigh your GPA, A&P 1&2 grades, Teas score and interview equally. I'm sure you'll get in! Cross our fingers!!!

Okay I just called and a guy at admissions says they are slowly getting responses from the nursing department and they are sending out letters this week and by latest next week. I told him how I was told someone from the nursing department told me they call you and he said that they very well might but either way they also send out letters
