I wonder if it's because of the program, I believe the FNP program received more applicants

No that has nothing to do with it. This is a disgrace on them that should have been taken care of a long time ago.

I've checked online on the status of my application and now its states  "screening complete". I wonder if its a good sign. It's been four months since I applied. I'm starting to get impatient. I just want a simple yes or no at this point, so I know how to move forward.

Hey I got accepted into the DNP program as well. Have you guys heard any follow up in terms of class registration and stuff? Also would love to connect with future classmates.

Look into the SUNY Downstate FNP group on fb to connect. Also, haven't heard anything at all about registering for classes.

Congrats! I just got an invitation for an interview today! What was it like? I’m nervous and excited at the same time.

Mine was very relaxed and conversational. I interviewed with one person only and they were very kind. They asked about my nursing experience,  my interests in the program and how I decided on WHNP. My advice would be to have an answer to 1) Why SUNY vs. another school? and 2) Why you want to work in our chosen field?
