SUNY Downstate ABSN 2022-2023

Hi! I'm starting a thread for those of us who are applying to SUNY Downstate for the accelerated nursing program (ABSN) that begins next year, fall 2022. The cycle just opened today, so a thread is in order.

Good luck everybody! P.S. I'm going to post my stats and TEAS test scores below to get this started and hopefully we can compare notes as things get closer to being in review/interviews begin. ?

I am planning on applying to Downstate as well. I am a little nervous about the TEAS. Does anyone know about the practice package offered from ATI. Is it worth it?

Hi all!  I am technically a re-applicant bc I applied to the OT program and ended up withdrawing long story but my experience w Downstate admissions was not great!! After some changes of plans I am applying now for nursing and I want to copy and paste some of my application but its not working!  Does anyone have ideas or know what a good tech contact is?

Also am I like applying way too late that its not even worth it?  I realistically probably won't submit til mid November or dec 1 because I still have to take my ATI TEAS....

Hope to maybe see some of you in the Summer????

you can email >[email protected]< they usually respond and assist with any admissions questions

Has anybody submitted their application but not taken the TEAS yet? Im too scared because I only have one shot and you need above 80% in the sections - anybody have any study tips for last min especially for science

You can submit the application before taking the TEAS?

yes you can but your application won't be viewed until it's in

ohhh okay thanks! what did you put for the question asking "If accepted to SUNY Downstate, will you have your bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College completed before matriculation into the Accelerated Nursing program?" if you didn't go to brooklyn college?? and did your recommenders have any trouble submitting your letter on the application?
