Hey all so I feel like I'm being totally gaslit by downstate admissions?? I had to change my math elective, and the course I am taking mentions statistics but is NOT a statistics course. My academic advisor at the institution where I am taking the math class has confirmed it is not statistics, but downstate is insisting it is. I sent them an algebra course description to see if they would accept that, it doesn't mention statistics anywhere, and they are saying that is ALSO a statistics course! I've sent a lot of emails over the year and I just feel like they are tired of me?? I went to a liberal arts college so I had to do a lot of work to get some pre-reqs accepted. what did other folks have as their math elective??? thank you for listening ? my application just got assigned a faculty screener and I'm nervous about this messing my stuff up.

Honestly they seem really...slow? Especially over the last month. My guess is they've had staffing shortages related to the covid surge plus an increase in applicants. my application has said forwarded to department for review for about 6 weeks, but also I had one thing (a 17 year old AP score) that I submitted several weeks ago, emailed them about twice, is definitely in the document upload section, and still says not received...so I think they're just slowing working through things! Its hard because its not a transparent process, but from what I read in other years admissions is a really extended process and sometimes we don't find out about decisions even until late Summer ?

I just got the same thing, I think they're probably just like....reorganizing things as they're preparing to move to close the applications since deadline is 1/31? Just my guess.

Hi all! I am technically a re-applicant bc I applied to the OT program and ended up withdrawing long story but my experience w Downstate admissions was not great!! After some changes of plans I am applying now for nursing and I want to copy and paste some of my application but its not working! Does anyone have ideas or know what a good tech contact is? Also am I like applying way too late that its not even worth it? I realistically probably won't submit til mid November or dec 1 because I still have to take my ATI TEAS.... Hope to maybe see some of you in the Summer????
