I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2020. This is my second time applying. I waited till the very last day of the deadline to submit my application last year (I knowww) since I had taken the TEAS and had just gotten the results. However, I've already submitted my application for the upcoming year and hope to get a call for an interview. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Sidenote: I really like the upgrade they did to the online application. So much more user-friendly.
Has anyone whose application was on "hold" until Downstate received Fall grades hear back about an interview?
I sent in my fall grades late December and still have "screening in process" listed as my status. This is frustrating! Or maybe totally normal? I took AP2 and Microbio in the Fall. I will do Dev psych and Math as CLEP sometime this month.

Hi,
I checked on the CLEP website and I only see human growth and development and introduction to psych. Which of those would count as development psych?
At this point I am no longer confident that I will be accepted. I already interviewed and thought all was well. Then 1. Some of you from first round of interviews started getting acceptances. Then 2. I just got an email only last week that a syllabus I submitted since mid-November didn’t match the transcript. Right before the deadline. The school I needed it from was closed for winter break and reopened only today. Talk about panic. I emailed admissions right then about the situation expressing my hope that this one document is not going to prevent my being offered admission and asking them to wait for it. I got a reply that if i were to be admitted it would be under the condition that I submit the syllabus and that the course meets the requirement. If it does not, I will need to complete it by the end of May, if admitted. Hmmm. I submitted the syllabus earlier today. I’m pretty sure the course meets the basic requirement. But at this point I am losing hope. I hope my other options come through.

This is really disheartening. I hope that you can get this all cleared up!

I think its normal as well. In previous cohorts, people who had to turn in their grades did not interview until the middle or end of January.
@moreteaplease, may I ask which class is this and from what school?
If I were you, I would reply all to the interview email chain thanking them again for their time and attach the outstanding document directly to the people who interviewed you. Beforehand, I would also make sure the syllabus is up to date and correctly reflects what the professor taught.

Does anyone know how long it takes for admissions to upload their checklist status if you submitted a document they requested?
I'm wondering the same thing. I submitted my final grades for the fall semester on December 26th and it still doesn't have any update. I emailed this morning to confirm they received the document.
