I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2020. This is my second time applying. I waited till the very last day of the deadline to submit my application last year (I knowww) since I had taken the TEAS and had just gotten the results. However, I've already submitted my application for the upcoming year and hope to get a call for an interview. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Sidenote: I really like the upgrade they did to the online application. So much more user-friendly.
I just received confirmation today via checklist that they've received my grades.
(i submitted them Dec 26th, received confirmation today jan 8th)
On the top of my checklist page, it says: Application Status: Document received; see application checklist. But the complete/receive date boxes on application checklist have not been marked.
I guess they extended the deadline again! It's almost as if they don't know about this lovely forum we all seem to live on! Lol
@ToBeANurse yeah I don't think they mark that complete/receive boxes on application checklist. They sent me an e-mail stating my application was completed when they received the needed documents but never marked it.
Just realized they extended the deadline too.. I guess they didn't get as many applicants this year. Last year, I was told that, it was around 320 applications that were screened and they accepted 80.
agreed.. it seems like they didn't receive a lot of applicants this year. oh well. anyways, anyone know how long they generally give until you hear back from them after having an interview?
I just called admissions to verify they received documents I submitted Dec 8 and Dec 26. I was told that because of the holidays, they're backed up and I should give it another week for confirmation.
I received an email regarding admissions sending out emails for registration and classes beginning on Monday which was confusing. I called and confirmed that this email is going out to all the accepted applicants (another program starting this Winter I assume) and that we accelerated nursing students can ignore that email as we begin our registration in May.
Not sure if anyone else got that email but just an heads up for those that did and was confused like I was.
For those of you who got the interview call: how long did it take them to call you after you application status was changed to File Forwarded to Program For Review? mine was just changed today, but they wouldn't accept one official transcript because I didn't include the institution name, so I had to re-upload today.
For those of you who have interviewed for the program how soon after did you guys receive your final decision? I'm super anxious I literally check the status of my application a million times a day ?

When did you interview? It seems acceptances go out one week after interviewing.
