Hi everyone,
I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2020. This is my second time applying. I waited till the very last day of the deadline to submit my application last year (I knowww) since I had taken the TEAS and had just gotten the results. However, I've already submitted my application for the upcoming year and hope to get a call for an interview. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Sidenote: I really like the upgrade they did to the online application. So much more user-friendly.

If I were you, I would reply all to the interview email chain thanking them again for their time and attach the outstanding document directly to the people who interviewed you. Beforehand, I would also make sure the syllabus is up to date and correctly reflects what the professor taught.
You can also check yourself to see if the course meets downstate’s requirement here: https://sls.downstate.edu/admissions/transfer_equiv/nursing_undergrad.html
@NurseDan thanks for the advice and link, I will check it out.

Hi. I'm new here. But I really would suggest you pay a visit to downstate admissions office. They are extremely helpful. I've went there couple times and they usually help me resolve some of my problems on the spot. Hope this would help.

@jess5 When I uploaded my TEAs scores back in mid-November, it took a week for them to update the checklist.
But it took a bit longer with the recommendation letters. I ended up emailing them a week after my supervisor said she submitted them, and I think the checklist updated a few days after I got a response from them.
My application has been stuck at "screening in progress" under Program Review since 12/12. ?
I'll give it one more week before I officially give up.
@Episkey omg I have the same story. I submitted my application mid-November and then due to my professor delaying the letter of recommendation they e-mailed me the request. My professor submitted it on 12/04 and on 12/20 I got the e-mail from them that my application was completed. Been stuck at "screening in progress" since then as well. It sucks because I can't afford any private schools so I worked so hard on my grades, my personal statement, my resume, my TEAS and now I am starting to lose hope because people it doesn't seem like they are interested in me:(
@Bachelor At least it’s still less than a month from when you submitted (factoring in winter break and everything), and the deadline did get extended so I wouldn’t lose out hope yet!
My letters of recommendation were submitted in October and I had finished all my prereqs already so didn’t have any grades to upload. I feel like 2 months should’ve been plenty of time to review my app and call me for an interview (or reject me) ??♀️
I also can’t afford any of the private universities. Have you thought about applying to any of the CUNY programs? I applied and got accepted to BMCC’s ADN program which I’ll happily go to, just to finally start my journey to nursing. But obviously it would’ve been great to have the option to get a BSN in the same amount of time.
Okay, folks, so I just spoke with admissions and my application is good to go with the syllabus I uploaded. Still not confident about my chances but it is in his hands now.
So here's the tea on the program right now. They have 80 spots to fill and they've already filled about a quarter I was told. This is most likely why the deadline was extended so they can receive more applications as well as give everyone a chance to complete their applications with missing requirements. Not sure how many applications they have received so far. He couldn't give me a timeline on notifications of admission or rejections.

Hey! Thank you for this. I have a good amount of experience- as my previous degree was in nutrition & dietetics and worked as a medical assistant for a year. My grades aren't all that amazing to be completely honest so I've been nervous. My interview is today! Good luck to everyone!!

Let us know how it went. Based on previous post, the interview process seems to have changed.
