Hello Everyone,

Congrats to everyone that has been accepted so far, your hard work has paid off! I have an upcoming interview and would appreciate any advice any one may have in regards on what to expect or how to prepare. It would be very much appreciated. I believe i'm ready but would appreciate some insight on what to expect. Thank you!

congrats on your acceptance. I was also accepted recently and I am also having trouble paying my deposit. The link is keep taking to the Admissions checklist site where I have to log in with my username and password, but I dont know them. were you able to pay your deposit? if so how did you do it?

Is anyone worried about safety around/commuting to school? Where are you planning on living? What time do we think classes (and clinicals) get out -- like, will we have to be walking into the subway station at midnight?

I am currently taking patho online at Nassau CC. It's too late to sign up for a course though. I signed up and got in one of the last online seats as soon as I found out I was accepted to Downstate and paid my deposit. Your best best was to start looking right before the new year, unfortunately.

Did you get the Patho class approved for transfer by SUNY? I asked them to approve the Patho and Pharmacology course I was signed up for this spring, online, and they said "it has been decided that Pharmacology and Pathophysiology taken outside of the program's curriculum will not be considered for credit in the program." Not sure if that means just the classes I was registered for, or just a new policy overall...

Yes I did. I emailed them before I decided to even enroll and register just to make sure I wasn't wasting time and money (my union is covering tuition, so I didn't spend that much money). They never informed me of such a policy, and I have their promise they would accept the credits in writing.
