I just wanted to create a thread for those of us who are applying to the accelerated program at SUNY Brockport for Summer/2016. I have already submitted my application and I am wishing everyone the best of luck. I hope you guys get into the program you desire. I decided that I wanted to apply to Brockport because I needed a change of scenery. Coming from New York City I feel like Brockport is the financially responsible thing to do.
I am encouraging people who are currently attending the program write about their experiences and provide us with any advice as we embark on the journey of nursing school!!!

Congrats to everyone that was selected into the program. I just read the email I was heading home. I can't believe it I am honestly so happy for everyone. I got accepted into Rochester last year and it was so expensive that I had to decline. I will be moving from NYC so I would honestly appreciate if someone would give me insight about the city of rochester and brockport.
I would really suggest checking out one of the surrounding suburbs. I am from Greece, a 20 minute drive from Brockport on 104. Brockport is a very small community, and a lot of it is college students. There isn't really that much going on there, very few restaurants, but they do have a decent pizza joint, Perry's. Not as good as what I've had on Long Island, but not far off. Good luck to you as you make your way up here!
Hi all! So because I hadn't received any email I took it upon my impatient self to call and follow up. I'm happy to report I was accepted as well! I know it's official though because my web banner updated to "decision made" and I'm also required to submit my final semester transcript and proof of HS graduation. Congrats again!
I also applied to the program but haven't heard anything yet. It said on the web banner, "Application ready to review" and now today it changed to say, "Decision made". I am worried because I haven't received the email that other accepted students received . I really wanted to get into this program because I have heard such great things about it from current and past students. Does anyone know when they are going to mail out letters?

If you were accepted, right under your college transcripts you might see them ask for proof of HS graduation (in my case they also asked for my final semester transcript b/c I'm finishing up micro). Either way you should call to find out, that's the best way to know. I was told the letters would be sent out soon.
I did notice that today my web banner says, "Requirement/High School Graduation Proof" And also says, "Requirement/Final college Transcript". I Sent over all my transcripts but never went to high school, I just got my GED years ago. Oh no i just realized maybe brockport needs proof of my actual GED.. I better do that asap, like tomorrow. Does your web banner say, "Decision made" or "accepted"?
I really really hope so!!! I only applied to Brockport and my community college. I got into my community college program (which is super competitive) and orientation for that program starts next week but I really want to go to Brockport. I did apply to brockport at the last minute (like the day before the app was due) so I am thinking maybe my application will be one of the last ones they review. I am just going to stay hopeful for now :)
