Summer is practically here! What will you be doing with your time off (if you are lucky enough to have summers off)?

In my concentrating to pass my nursing class, I eneded up failing my Anatomy class so I'l be retaking that this summer and taking an online sociology class to knock out an elective. Yay, not real summer off. Next summer, I will be starting to study for the NCLEX because I start my last semester next Fall. Starting early for that killer exam!

I want a break, lol:) I am grateful though because I managed to get into the condesed summer psych rotation, and maternity (Less than 15% of the class gets into both). Our final for med surg was May 4th, and psych is from May 8-June 22. Maternity starts July 9-Aug 17th. I figure at least I will have about 2 weeks off in between the psych and maternity, and my fall course work will be significantly easier because I eliminated the 2/3 nursing classes. I have a 2 year old, so in my off time I will be chasing him around his grandma's swimming pool:)

Haha I'll be reading and preparing for next semester!! lol, haha and going to the gym, and spending time with my family and boyfriend, and hitting the beach, and shopping! lol, and of course, sleeping!! lol;) today I actually did nothing, the family was off camping and my boyfriend was at work, so I stayed at home, tried to clean a little, but baked and watched tv! lol it was awesome!!! lol

Doing my summer Fundamentals reading (about 2 chapters per week until fall). Spending time with my LoveSponges (lots of beach trips, museums, park days, and a trip to Disneworld). Finishing redecorating our house and getting everything organized so I don't have to worry about it once school starts. Working out, reading for pleasure, and having lots of quality time!

I am just soaking it in. Last year was super rough, I just finished a year and half of my BSN program and this last semester was super crazy. I will say I have a little bit of excitement for the fall almost like the summer before last when I was anticipating starting the program because when I go back in the fall I will be starting my senior year and just have 2 little teenny semesters left :) I'm excited to do my graduation application in Sept. and excited to find out in December where my preceptorship will be. I am definately excited for fall but am smart enough to enjoy every little minute of this time off!

I start NS in the fall. This summer, I'm taking 3 classes and have talked my professors into letting me finish 2 weeks early because we're heading to Europe at the end of the summer!!!! Can't wait. We have to go to a wedding in Germany and then, hubby and I are heading to Venice for a 2nd honeymoon. I am also going to Colorado for a little trip, but I have to manage that between classes. It's going to be busy, but, then, I'm always busy.

I'm taking two courses over summer. Medical Terminology and Spanish ( high school deficiency, unfortunately) and spending time with my husband, son, and family! Starting ADN nursing program in the fall! Going to be a memorable summer getting ready for Nursing School!!!!

We are moving back to Kentucky next week from DC! I plan on doing lots of sleeping, swimming, and hopefully ( if we get the house) decorating our new house. Oh and lots of reading nursing and non nursing related!
