Student Support Group?

Would any of you like to be in a student support group on AOL Instant Messenger? We can add each other to our lists, and any time we are online, we can be available to eachother for support?

If so, my screen name is BrandyBSN.

I would be thrilled to have some other nursing students or recent grads to compare with?

Could be a lot of fun!

I have had a lot more positive feedback on this idea than i could have even hoped for! We have 18 signed up now! This is great guys and gals!

So, my next thought is, when is a good time for us to all (or most) get together during the day?

I am on, (generally) from 10am-5pm, about every day (atleast until i get a job). What are your time frames? Any time better for anyone else? The group chatroom option on AOL IM is a great way for us to get in a group and talk!

I have already spoken to many of you, and i hope the rest of you will be able to catch us soon!

I'm in my senior year of a BSN program (yay...less than a year to go!) and I'd love to participate but I cannot use AOL nor do I have ICQ -- any suggestions?

There is a Java program for AOL Instant messenger that you may be able to use, even behind a firewall. Some of us also have yahoo! messenger? If any of these options work for you, let us know? Also, you can just opt to use the bulletin board? We all read it, and you can post any topic you like, and we will chat with you on this :)

I think when we all are on we should meet up in the chat room on this board so all can talk together....

That would work ok for me :) However, the chat applet is often not working. When there are 3-5 of us online, we often start our own chatroom through AIM. If we ever have one when you are online, you will definately get an invite! However if you are not logged in to AOL, we may not know that you are online. Keep up the ideas!

Hi,

I really like this idea I do not have aol but my messenger service is [email protected].

I will be starting my prerequisites in fall but I do not know where to go from there. I will be at the University of South Florida.
