Anyone familiar with the Student Response System? Along with all the required texts and software I had to purchase, there was a student clicker as well. It's put out by Turning Technologies for the classroom. Is this any good for nursing school. Costs about $56.00
Our school uses Turning Point also. We were required to purchase our clickers and the faculty is absolutely rabid about making sure everyone brings them to class and uses them. It was mentioned before that they do ask NCLEX style questions and I find it beneficial to discuss the questions and answers. Also, by showing you a bar graph of the responses, it lets you gauge how others are answering the questions as well.
We had to buy them at my previous school. They were closer to $30 then.
We would register for the semester (no sharing) our clickers so that the professors could use them as graded (usually credit for participation/attendance) in-class quizzes.
I don't really have anything bad to say about them.

I'm not sure if I know what you're talking about. When I was attending a large university (over 30,00 students), my chemistry professor had a quiz every class period, which she used to take attendance. We had little remotes that were assigned to us by number, we picked them up at the start of class and returned them before we left. She would have two or so questions at the beginning of class that we answered via the remote, letting her know we came to class (my chem class had about 200 students so this was the easiest way to take attendance I guess). That's the only experience I have with that kind of thing, no other class I've taken has done anything like that.
