Stop it!

Published

Please stop the random CNA who comes onto the unit & professes her fairy tale love life with the doctor ***. Goes so far to come into work dressed up for a date, why would you do this randomly on your day off? Sends work emails on what heels to wear on this date. All the while, the physician in question is making rounds while she's texting the unit clerk on what an awesome dinner they're having..

Stop the madness I say!

Rant your stop it(s)!

Am I the only one who is completely confused by this thread??!

Even the OP confused me: is the CNA really dating the doc? And are we supposed to give comments on that? Or are we supposed to give our own examples of times that we want to say Stop It!?

And the current Comments are all over the map!! I'm so confused:bored:

Please stop being confused by threads where people are obviously venting about random nursing-related pet peeves. (just kidding)

As for the CNA in the OP, I wouldn't be annoyed by her talking about her romantic fantasies about the doctor. I would be pretty creeped out, though. Is this actually a "thing"?

I picked Door Number Two: What makes you want to stand up in the lounge or nurses' station and say, "STOP IT!"

I'm with kungpoopanda, ha ha funny, dead right, some places I've worked in require suspension of disbelief could be Milly Molly Mandy, who would care ?

How sad. I can understand ignoring her, but he needs to be aware. He could be married or seriously dating someone and his significant other could hear about this "affair". Or this could lead to a stalking situation.

Someone needs to stop this, before the doc comes home to a pot of bunny stew.

I haven't asked her yet. I am sure it's an Audi or a BENZ!!

Please stop confusing me with one of the other three nurses that have long hair and glasses. Yes, I know we're white, tall nurses and we have unit color-specific scrubs, but if you would take the time to learn our names, just like we take the time to learn yours, you'd quit confusing us with one another and your orders would be carried out more promptly.

So just stop and take 5 minutes to learn something other than how to best exert your God complex.

I laughed so much at this one. I have a coworker who says verbatim "all fat white women do not look alike" ( this is in no way to be offensive to anyone). But, we have a couple of nurses who are always confused for one another. I don't think any of them are fat! LOL

How does her harmless little fantasy affect you? If I had to work in some workplaces, I'd live in a fantasy world too.

It only affects me when I have to listen to the passionate love making stories throughout the night. I mean, I only asked you to help me position the patient. I didn't ask for the position dr.*** had you in last night.

Ok talking about your sex life is inappropriate at work, but from your OP you made it sound like she wasn't really dating the doctor...so which is it?

She isn't dating the doctor, which I could care less about. Accompanied with not dating him, I have to be subjected to the sex stories. I wasn't asking advice on the subject, it's more a vent post. :-)
