StonyBrook ABSN: Class of 2021

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.

I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

I interviewed on 11/6 and received my decision yesterday. So it probably is not based on the week you interviewed. It is probably random, but I'm not sure.

yeah all of my theories are out the window too lmao so I guess it is just random... the waiting continues....

LOL... I wonder if these folks are "out-of-state" folks = more money for them... vs "in-state" which means much less money...

I attend SBU for undergrad currently and I'm in-state. I'm sure you guys will find out pretty soon, don't worry too much!

I interviewed on 10/27. Thanks so much! I heard back around 1pm yesterday and it was a shock, as I was expecting to hear back later.

For anyone who was accepted, were you able to get into SOLAR? It said 24 hours until we would be able to login which is about now.

I was just waitlisted... here are my stats folks... for those rejected, don't feel too bad... sometimes it's just about luck, I guess... feels terrible.

~3.3 Undergrad GPA

~3.7 Grad GPA

4.0 in all prereqs

Volunteer at two major hospitals

Professional background - medical writer

...Onward I go.

I had the same stats too, but don't have any volunteer experience because I work a full time job and have two kids...I did not get in, I'm happy you got wait listed. My undergrad was 3.4 and Grad 3.5 and overall prereqs 4.0. Ugh this sucks so bad.

I was just notified that I was waitlisted....any idea if there is a way to find out where you are on that list?
