Hi all,
Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.
I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?
@NurseKote you should look into SUNY Downstate's accelerated program, they're a state school with similar tuition. I believe they extended the deadline. They require the TEAS though.

Thank you, I started my application there but stopped because I had never taken the TEAS. Do you think I still have time to take them? I probably could with little study time. How many times can you take the TEAS and do you know if all scores are sent to schools regardless if you choose?
@NurseKote the deadline was extended to January 31st so that's a pretty significant amount of time if you get started now. Typically they don't allow you to take the TEAS more than twice in one admissions cycle. TEAS are only sent to school's that you choose. I would call Downstate's admissions office and speak with them to be sure, but I think it's definitely worth a shot.
@NurseKote Not sure how you feel about out of state but I don't think UMass Amherst's deadline is until mid or late January if I remember correctly. When I was researching that one, it's an August start and 17 months but tuition is about $30k less than what you mentioned for Pace. And they don't require the TEAS which is why I even considered it.
@lobo92 @mmmc32 I just applied for the TEAS exam for January 24th. I may even apply to one more before that so I have some more room to take it again. I also just checked out UMass for which I have all the prerequisites. I don't mind out of state if it is an accelerated program but I don't necessarily want to do that. Their deadline is January 15 so I should have enough time to get another recommendation letter by then!! Thank you both so much, I appreciate it!!

Good luck to you!!

Yes, you need to take the TEAS for LIU. I went to their admission office when I was searching for nursing schools and the passing rate seems to be pretty low for their program. It's a private school and they would want you to apply to their program the same day if you have your transcript.

Fingers crossed!!! ?
I interviewed first week and havent heard anything yet so I'm thinking maybe decisions are being sent out alphabetically... but who knows lol

I was accepted into Pace and LIU but they are both so expensive. Pace's one year is $70k and I don't believe that was with any type of living costs. I also still have undergrad loans so it really doesn't seem like the best plan.
Did anyone take the TEAS? Did you take practice exams or a refresher course?
