Stony Brook's ABSN Class of 2023

Published

Hi everyone! I am applying to Stony Brook's ABSN and wanted to create this thread for anyone who wanted to share stats, updates or need assistance!

Ohh I see! Are we going to get an e-mail with any information about the program at all? Cause I think in the acceptance letter they said that we should expect something.

I would think they would send something! Hopefully soon but who knows

for everyone who got accepted, are you between other schools!? I feel like so many of us are waiting on other schools, etc.

so stressful!

I would double check that the offer is still valid. SOLAR mentioned submitting an acceptance within 10 days of receiving the acceptance, which I’m assuming would be January 25th, so by February 3rd

No I know that! @biancarod

I was just saying the process as a whole being that so many people are still waiting on other schools. I know a lot of times people will submit deposits and then pull them once they make a final decision. just wanted feedback on what everyone was thinking about in terms of school!

I’ve been declining offers from other schools as I get acceptances I’m definitely going to Stonybrook even waiting on other schools !

Hi, I was just wondering if we can receive FAFSA for the ABSN program. Is anyone applying for it?

Has anyone that was placed on the Alternate list hear anything yet?

Does anyone know how much the tuition is for the accelerated program? I can't seem to find it on their website.

I believe it’s somewhere around $15k for the full year, plus additional costs for books, equipment, etc….but don’t quote me on that

Does anyone happen to know around when orientation would be?

I don't think anything is till mid-late April if I'm remembering last year's thread right. I was hoping we would've gotten a little more info by now but I guess it's still pretty early? I don't have facebook so I can't join the group there and I feel so disconnected to the whole prospect of starting school in June LOL

Did anyone else apply to the basic BSN as well and get an interview request? I already accepted the ABSN offer but am conflicted and wondering if I should just interview so I can decide later if I get accepted to this one. I'm in my mid-30s so it would be nice to finish sooner, but it would also be nice to keep working and saving money while in school for the next 2 years.

Same here. Do you have any remaining classes to take. I wonder what number we are on the list, I hope we both make it.

Hey everyone!

The thread seems a little quiet LOL. I wanted to know if anyone on the alternate heard word? Anything at all?? Also, would anyone kindly offer any info on whether or not they have selected an offer at a different school? Just wondering if anyone got off the alternate list.

thanks everyone !!
