Stony Brook Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2015 applicants

I agree with Arh101609, no one should put anyone down because they didn't get an interview. We should encourage anyone who didn't get one to work at improving their application and try again next year. Nursing is a field concerned with helping and supporting others and we should be trying to do that as much as possible. And I was told the same thing at my interview, 4-6 weeks for a response. 4 weeks for me was this Tuesday so we could hear any day now, but I figure we won't hear until closer to 5 or 6 weeks. Good luck to everyone, and I hope you follow your nursing dreams no matter where you go!

I truly hope that you ladies/gents are accepted, good luck with it! Hopefully we all land somewhere :)

going through past threads it looks like admissions decisions come around the beginning of May, here's to hoping you get your decisions soon!

Same here, I can't stand this wait. I've been compulsively checking my email every half hour! Has anyone contacted the SON about decisions?

I am so tired of checking my email every hour. I can't wait until the results come in , hopefully this stress will vanish after hearing both negative and position answer. I haven't called the son but if anyone called them please tell us what they said

Hey Everyone,

I am new to this site and just discovering so many prospective students here for School of Nursing at Stony Brook. It's so nice to be able to connect with you all. Indeed, this waiting period is extremely difficult. I too have checked my solar, and email every 30 minutes to see if something might be there. I am trying to be very patient and wait for the decisions till May 1. It will be exactly 6 weeks of waiting for me this Friday since I interviewed March 6th. If any of you hear something, please do share. I will do the same!

OMG!!! my heart beats when I see any email notification. :no: if I don't pass out as a result of anxiety during this waiting period, then I wouldn't pass out anymore.

Hey guys,

I just read up on entries on here from last year. They heard back starting April 22nd, and then April 24th, and rejections came out around April 28th and so on. This is based on limited students who took the time to post on here. Overall, dates could vary.

I have read entries from some of you and the older entries, seems that is all I want to do. I am just so ready to find out. I am actually more scared now because some of the students who got rejected last year had great gpa, experience, volunteer hours and yet they were rejected. Part of me wants to find out, and part of me is so scared to after reading all that.

Hang in there guys. I recieved my notification when I least expected it (I was studying for a final ha ha). If it helps, it was on april 22, 2014! : )
