I don't think it's about fair, plenty of qualified people who would be great don't get an interview and that's not fair either

if you visited info session . they said 425 applicants 150 interview and 75 get in. so way they choose 150 interviews are based on GPA and overall qualifications. so people who got the interviews are more in the 3.6 and above range in their GPAs . Sorry buddy that u didn't get your interview try next year.
I did go to an info session, 3.6 was the average GPA of last year's admitted students. No need to be condescending.

Interviews are mandatory for acceptance to the program. I emailed stony regarding this previously and that's what I was told.

I had my interview on March 11 for the two year program. I am on the waiting list for the accelerated program, trying to stay hopeful!!!

They're not interviewing people with a strict 3.6 or above...
If you did not get an interview... pretty much understand that you're not being accepted
Congrats to all those who received an interview and sorry to all those who did not.

Do you know if they're going to do more interviews?
I don't think so because we are supposed to have an answer by May 1st
No idea @flam, email invitations seem to have been sent on 2/26 but my application wasn't even updated on solar for another 2 weeks (3/11). If we don't get an interview then no, we almost certainly aren't accepted JSBU.
There's still another month before they say decisions will be sent, so who knows. I've had no luck trying to reach student affairs to speak to anyone at all
@monica713 I don't remember if they said anything about this in the info session but the average GPA of their accepted students last year was a 3.6 and the minimum GPA to apply I think is a 2.8 or 3.0, so if you failed out then I doubt they'll consider you. This is also the last term for which they're accepting re-takes. (If you took A&P and got a c, then took it again and got an a).
