  1. The link for the group is facebook.com/groups/SBUSoN2017/ does anyone know how we find out about orientation or classes?
  2. I got in too! I found out on my break at work and started jumping up and down haha. I can't wait to meet everyone! And to everyone who didn't get in, don't give up and keep trying! If you really want it then don't let this stop you. You're going to make a great nurse no matter where or when you go!
  3. @nirana I feel the same way, I can't stop checking and seeing an email makes me a little nervous thinking it could be it. I just want to know so I can stop making myself crazy over this!
  4. Same here, I can't stand this wait. I've been compulsively checking my email every half hour! Has anyone contacted the SON about decisions?
  5. I agree with Arh101609, no one should put anyone down because they didn't get an interview. We should encourage anyone who didn't get one to work at improving their application and try again next year. Nursing is a field concerned with helping and supporting others and we should be trying to do that as much as possible. And I was told the same thing at my interview, 4-6 weeks for a response. 4 weeks for me was this Tuesday so we could hear any day now, but I figure we won't hear until closer to 5 or 6 weeks. Good luck to everyone, and I hope you follow your nursing dreams no matter where you go!
  6. I got that email today too and I interviewed on Tuesday
  7. I got my acceptance letter today too! So excited. Good luck to everyone!
  8. I got my interview email today too! So excited and nervous at the same time. Good luck everyone!
  9. Hi everyone, I'm currently a full time college student with plans of finishing my pre requisites by next semester and going on to apply to nursing schools in my area. I've decided to take a CNA class over the summer before my next semester starts to get started with my healthcare career, and am going to try to get a job after the training course is over. I wanted to know if anyone has had experience going to school full time while also having a job as a CNA, and if/how you were able to handle doing both. I managed somehow to get my schedule next semester so that I'm only going in three days a week, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday, and I'm only taking 12 or 13 credits, so I was thinking I'd be able to work any/all of the four days I have completely off, or even on two of the days I have classes since I'm out by 1. I'd love to hear anyone's advice or experience with this. Thanks !
