Hey guys! So I just applied to the SBU Basic (2 year) program a couple of days ago. I thought it would be nice to start a forum. Feel free to ask any questions! And good luck to all who are applying!!!
Thanks! So I wonder how do people find time to work? I guess they work nights? A part time job would be perfect for me, so that I can at least pay my bills lol. Well we'll see what happens. I wonder why their decision process takes so long, it is my understanding that it takes no longer than a month for LIU to make it's decision.

It takes so long because Stony Brook only accept the best and the brightest! Haha. It's one of their little slogans, but it's true. It's so sad that I want time to zoom by, but I wish it were April/May already! But it will be here before we all know it. So excited!

I beleive Nursing program is hardest one .. Since stony brook is one of the top school included as other friends mention that they looking smart student etc. I guess their program mostly full time study with out any left over time to work even part time. I mean there is 5 day class 24 credit first semester as other said. How possible to work even part time. You will need time to study your midterm final etc ..
My school currently i go "new York city college of technology " for them the admission process takes only couple day lol it's hard to get in but they only looks grade if for class ap1 English psy and math that's it. If you have high gpa and pass the TEAS then you are in the program. They don't care about your background etc. if you have good grade that's enough to them
But stony brook which of the most student apply there have very high gpa. But for them gpa is not the best important part as I see so far. They looking people really will improve the nation health care. Not like just punch in and punch out and get your salary.
Hey everyone, I also applied to the two year progam... anxiously waiting for the decisions to go out in April/May :-) Has anyone been on solar yet? I received the e-mail with my net ID on Jan 5th stating it would take 7-10 days for the account to be created, today is 8 days still not able to log-on did it take anyone else this long?

@ash6117 I attended SBU for my undergrad so I'm already set up with solar, but my application information is already viewable, ...it has been since the 8th and I submitted my app on the 6th. It may be because i already have a preexisting id number and solar account but it seems yours should be accessible by now too. If it isn't by the 17th, I would contact admissions.
