Stony Brook BSN - Summer/Fall 2011 Applicants

ok, it's never too early to start a thread about applying for 2011 ... :D ... which i am most definitely doing even though i am still waitlisted for 2010. i just won't be able to attend this year if i get in ... :(

but that's ok! i'll be done with all my prereqs and have time to write a better application (if in fact that is at all possible, you know?).

anyone else applying to stony brook for summer 2011?

However, you all should know that I found out yesterday that I was accepted to the ABSN @ Univ of Central Florida ... so ... clearly I have a decision to make in the next couple of weeks. :cool: ...

I am feeling so Willy Wonka-ish right about now ... :lol2:

Paco - Congratulations!!! :) That is really exciting news, especially since you have been waiting on a response from the Florida schools. Good luck as you make your decision...we're all here for support if you need it. Congrats again!

Hi Everyone,

I have been following this thread for some time now and have decided it is time to get involved. Congrats to everyone who already have been accepted into Stony Brook or other nursing programs. I have also applied to the 2 year class. It's getting closer to the time we find out and I am starting to get nervous wondering what the outcome will be. I work in Stony Brook as a CNA and I already starting looking at my Solar account (I know...very premature) Good luck everyone!!! Fingers crossed for us!!!!

Congrats Paco69!!! I know you were waiting for Florida and you were leaning toward them. Good luck wherever you go, that school is very lucky to have you. But I'm sure your rejection to the other schools will make another hopeful happy lol :D

to the people still waiting to 2 year program or any other school I'm keeping fingers, toes, legs, arms and whatever other anatomy I can, crossed for everyone!! and keep us posted on your progress....:lol2:

I just saw my decision response on SOLAR and i got rejected... they didnt even say if im waitlisted or what... broke into tears at work... bad idea for checking it at work... anyways... im just gonna say i hope there still chances of getting into the 2 year program, but deep inside i know the chance is almost 0... congrats again to you guys... have fun in class :crying2:

I know is sad but don't give up, I applied twice before they accepted me. the second time i applied it was thesame exact essay and infos that i gave them, they wait listed me at which i lost hope and then was accepted...so keep your hope alive, because your moment will come.

You mean I could have sent them the same essay from the first time? :eek: *sigh* ... I was actually scared of doing that so I wrote a whole new one.

Then again, I am glad I didn't anyway, my rewrite was a better one ... clearly it was! :D

RNDIVA, thank you! Only 2 of them are in NY: Stony Brook and Cochran. One is in PA (Drexel) and the other 3 are in FL where I currently live (UCF, UNF, and Miami). I am originally from NY and want to return.
