Hello everyone!
I applied to Stony Brook's Basic (2-year) BSN program 3 weeks a go and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.
If you are:
currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current SBU student, I'd love to hear from you!
Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

I am in the two year now, and they generally take 60, I think they said there were 600 to 700 applications for those spots. My group actually started with 70, I believe they got approval for the ten extra spots at the last minute. I feel for you having to wait, but I will say that it is a great program and I have met some truly inspirational folks there already. I wish everyone the best and that you hear soon, the waiting is miserable! GOOD LUCK ALL! Here's the secret, Big bucket of popcorn, cool beverage of your choice, and a great comedy in the DVD! Don't know if it is lucky or not but if the movie is long enough it will give your SOLAR checking fingers a little time to heal! Buckeroo out.
