Stony Brook Basic BSN Fall 2012

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hello everyone!

I applied to Stony Brook's Basic (2-year) BSN program 3 weeks a go and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

If you are:

currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current SBU student, I'd love to hear from you!

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?

I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

Just an FYI everyone I heard we will not be hearing back decisions until the end of April. I heard there were 300 qualified applicants and 60 accepted, the suspense is worse than survivor, who's getting voted off the island! Good luck everyone

BioD its gnu make my eyes fall out haha

thx AlvinS

Thanks Alvin!!! Merrysunshine: how did you hear that??? Did you call? Omg that's so stressful!

You are welcome. Merrysunshine1, where did you hear that from?

I think that's generally common knowledge these days, although the last time I heard, there were something like 600 applicants for 30 spots (a combined total of 1100 applicants for both the one and two year programs) so, yes, it is very difficult to get into one of those spots.

I believe that we are going to hear back this week.

This is awful why havent they told us

I know I seriously am sooooo stressed out...I just want to know now, regardless the outcome

i am going to go insane.

BioD after ur text I got more insane! I can't wait!!!!! Whats the hold up ... they have to know already right?

ahhh im going crazy too the wait is tooooo long its already april!!!!!!!! agh.

and yeah there was a college fair i went to at my community college and at sbu, the number of nursing students they seem to take is all together 30 =[ *crosses fingers*

Really? I thought the 2 year program was 60? This is insane it's April 17th wth is the holdup? They found out April 8th last yr
