Hello everyone!
I applied to Stony Brook's Basic (2-year) BSN program 3 weeks a go and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.
If you are:
currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current SBU student, I'd love to hear from you!
Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

Hey guys i still have not heard anything either. And yes ashe its normal or at least it was for the one year program for a round of acceptances then another round to come out 2 days later. I guess they do it so they can see how many people take the spots they are given. But last time it was when we had not heard of anyone hearing any thing for like a week or so, that the remaining people who had not heard were put on the wait list.
Question to all those accepted. did you apply to the one year as well? Im just trying to find more patterns in the decision process. Like rejected to the 1 yr or wait listed but then accepted to the 2 year. or the other way around.
Side note...please life, fate, god, whatever (lol) grant all of us still waiting the patience we need to get through this!
I have all sorts of new tabs, but I think once you make the deposit to hold your spot ($150), the nursing school school will "link" you to their "stuff". Meaning, maybe they will have your bill, schedule, etc. I'm just speculating. My bill as of now is 0, which I know is not right.
I have to put my deposit in tonight, although I "accepted", maybe then there will be more options.
