Nursing Application has now opened for the Basic BSN fall 2018 program. I will be submitting my application Sept 1. I noticed there was no forum so I decided to start one... Good Luck to everyone that is applying. It is a bit early but it doesn't hurt to communicate with everyone. Has everyone finished all their pre-reqs?

I have my interview on February 5th! Hoping it all goes well !

For the accelerated program this year, they sent out interviews in 2 waves and the rest i think did not receive interviews. half the people who got interviews were emailed the first day and the second half were emailed a week later

How did you prepare for the math portion of the exam? I saw they said it consists of fractions, decimals, addition, division, etc. and then algebra, but how far do they go with knowing algebra? I'm unsure how in depth to study for that portion. Also, were the interview questions what you'd expect or were there curve balls thrown in? I have lots of typical nursing school interview questions prepared.

anyone who has heard back: did your nursing application update in any manner? mine still says submitted, trying to decide if i should keep hoping or just give up at this point.

My solar application never changed from the time I applied up until the time I was accepted unless they received a transcript or letter of recommendation I would add in later. So I wouldn't judge too much based on that.

As far as the math goes, I hadn't looked at math or studied any sort of math since I took the GRE 2 years back and I still found it to be pretty easy. I just quickly googled fraction and decimal rules in terms of added, multiplying, etc.

For the interview questions I thought it was very straight forward compared to other interviews I had. Idk if I would be at liberty to give you specific questions and how I answered them, but I feel like they are questions you can quickly adapt to on the fly. For example, if you can speak to why you like their program most or your experiences or to talk about the most challenging thing you've had to deal with in your life, you shouldn't have too much of a problem!

Hey everyone! I did not receive an email today, I am hoping that they send out some more tomorrow! Trying to stay positive. I wish I knew for sure more were being sent tomorrow. I wonder if once they narrow it down they send them out in order that applications were received? I was within the application due date but did not have my application completed until near the time it was due. Good luck to everyone on their interviews!

Congrats to everyone who has received their invite! I also received mines today. I'm so grateful, happy and nervous at the same time. If anyone went to BBP interview before, please let me know how in depth should I go over Algebra. How many questions should I expect on the math exam? Is it a timed exam? I'm afraid i won't study enough and i don't want to over study either. I'm a nervous reck! Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Our Math test was times, like 20-25 mins. Maybe 20 questions, I know it was front and back. I for one got an algebra for dummies book and did every chapter that was on the test with all the practice questions. I was never great at algebra and without a calculator I needed as much practice as possible. Only like 5 or the questions were hard, I know a long division question ate up most my time. I think it's best to study a lot, if you get in you take a math test the first week if class (no calculator) so it can't hurt

I didn't get mine either. From what i understand they don't follow the same suit as the years prior, meaning some years there are waves others there are not. No news at this point can still mean good news. Keep your head up, stay positive maybe we will both get some nice emails either today or by next week. Good luck!
