Nursing Application has now opened for the Basic BSN fall 2018 program. I will be submitting my application Sept 1. I noticed there was no forum so I decided to start one... Good Luck to everyone that is applying. It is a bit early but it doesn't hurt to communicate with everyone. Has everyone finished all their pre-reqs?

for the letters of reccomendation do we need letters from each of the following sources one professor, one employer or supervisor and one healthcare proffessional? or do they just have to be from one of the sources? im so confused. i dont have a health care professional to write me a letter only a volunteer coordinator and the nursing home i volunteer at.
Yes, you need one from each source. I would call and ask what you could do in that case. I'm not sure if that would count for health-care professional.

When filling out the application can you save it and finish it later on? Or do you have to finish the application when you first begin it?

In the past you can save and finish it later. Most schools also have this feature, so I'm sure they still have it.
Yes you can!

I am a traditional student at SBU. I just submitted my application also. I have 2 of my 3 recommendations in so hoping the last one completes it soon so they can review my application. I will be on pins and needles until I hear back about interviews in February

Hi, I'm having difficulty finding the application. Would someone be able to guide me? I also applied for the ABSN program but now I can't find the link to apply for the basic BSN program. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! I was hoping to get some type of guidance from others about letters of recommendation. I have never asked for a letter of recommendation so I am not sure how to approach my employers about it. I'm sure most of them would have no issue to do the letter of recommendation, but I'm not sure what to tell them if they ask about what the letter of recommendation should include or certain things they should talk. Any suggestions on what you believe a phenomenal letter of recommendation should include!?

Hi. I graduated from the BSN program in 2015. As for the letter of recommendation, they can talk about your work ethics, your personality, and qualities you use at work that would also be needed in the program i.e. communication and organization skill, integrity, etc.
