Yes they do. Unfortunately a friend of mine received her rejection letter yesterday when the first set of acceptance letters were sent out.

I already submitted my deposit for downstate but I'm still hoping I get into SBU.

Hi Everyone, they already started sending out acceptance letters. I got mine yesterday 1/24/18.

Wow. When I interviewed in Dec. they def. said end of jan./beginning of Feb. I'm not surprised though, SBU is always the last to send out acceptance letters. It sucks because I have to accept/decline to the other school I got accepted to 2 wks from today.

They said the earliest would be end of Jan/beginning of Feb.

Hi, I came across this thread because I recently submitted my application for Downstate's FNP program. Can you please give me some insight about your experience in the program so far? How many days a week do you have classes?

Hi. I graduated from the BSN program in 2015. As for the letter of recommendation, they can talk about your work ethics, your personality, and qualities you use at work that would also be needed in the program i.e. communication and organization skill, integrity, etc.

Hi RNafn, I just came across your post. Did you end up applying? My b/f sister graduated with her BSN in 2015 from Molloy and applied to SBU FNP for summer 2016. She only had a few months of experience when she applied and she was accepted. They would prefer at last 1 yr of experience but I don't thinks it required. I recently applied as well for summer 2018.
