Stony brook accelerated nursing class of 2019

Published

Just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else has applied to the 12 month accelerated nursing program at stony brook!

My transcripts. One transcript said it was received on 11/30/17.

Mhmm I'm not quite sure if that means anything. My were updated back in early November.

Hopefully we hear back this month!

Mine was updated on November 3 and then again on November 30th. It's probably just some random thing that has nothing to do with anything.

Good luck everyone. :)

I spoke with someone today stated decisions would go out early January, unlikely to be sooner

I'm currently in the accelerated program, so if there are any questions feel free to ask!

Would you mind giving out your email so we can ask questions directly? :) not sure how to work the private message thing on here! Thanks!

Hi, I was in the two year program briefly. I had to leave after 2 weeks and now applied for the accelerated program. I'm wondering if you used the same text books as the ones I got for the 2 year program.

What book to you use for pharmacology and patho? My books and supplies were over a $1,000!!

Thanks a bunch!!

Anyone super anxious this whole month?

Hey guys!

Does anyone know if we have to do the whole interview process again for the 2 year program if we applied to both?

^ I asked this question at the end of the interview. They said no if we are accepted to the accelerated program, but decided not to attend the accelerated program and wanted the basic program. If you are denied from the accelerated program, they did not give a clear yes or no, but said maybe.

Oh good to know. Thank you! Hopefully it won't be a concern lol but it would suck to do that again :/

Hey guys Did anyone have the interview for downstate yet and if so, how was it. Like group interview or single, how long, how many questions? Thanks

Does anyone know if their chances are higher if they apply to the basic two year program?

I have not applied to the BSN program, and don't want to unless I really don't get into the ABSN program (which I'm hoping they give us some time in-between to apply if we really have to!)

Are the statistics the same? Same number of applicants, with the same number of interviews and certain number of seats?
